Amen Corner / Coppid Beech 12 Months of Road Works

Get ready for a year of traffic misery as work will soon begin to create access to the new housing estate and primary school at Amen Corner North.

Junction modification work is scheduled to start on the 17th of January to convert the current 3-way light controlled to a 4-way junction with crossings & islands which is expected to last for 12 months.

Most of the works will take place between 9:30am & 3:30pm on weekdays and between 9am and 5pm on weekends.

Downshire Way Delays

In addition to this works to widen Downshire Way (A322) and create a new filter lane into Old Bracknell Lane West have already begun and are expected to last four months and include a 30mph temporary speed limit.

Bracknell Forest Council’s current housing strategy is aiming to provide the borough with 11,000 new homes by 2026 so we can expect this sort of traffic disruption to be a continuous part of our lives for the foreseeable future.
