Council withdraws historical site from site allocation process

In 2016 Bracknell Forest Council submitted the 18th century Easthampstead Park House and its grounds as a potential development site to the first part of its own site allocation process.

After an on-line petition calling for the council to retain & protect Easthampstead Park managed to obtain over 6,000 signatures of support in 6 days the council then announced that the site has been withdrawn from the call for sites process.

However the council states Easthampstead Park is being subsidised by the council to the tune of £250,000/year so they are still looking at options and have not ruled out selling the site to a private buyer.
