Bracknell finally gets its Brownfield site register

Early last year the government launched a pilot scheme to enable councils to submit brownfield sites to a national list allowing developers to rapidly find suitable sites in specific areas of the country.

This scheme was heavily supported by the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) as it would encourage the development of brownfield sites in preference to rural or agricultural sites which generally are far more contentious.

Considering BFC has no 5 year land supply it was very unfortunate that this scheme appeared to have been ignored at first but now the council have finally (as of yesterday 20th December 2017) published their compiled list of 30 sites, some of which were already part of the current call for sites process.
